WOW - I could not fast that long. amazing!

It is much easier when you are Keto-adapted. I don't get hungry, I get bored so the challenge is to keep busy.

Just reading about it right now. Looks like an approach that I could use. Thanks Sean.

Dang! “Abstinence is easier than moderation.” Love that thought. It's that way for me for sure. Having a little food rather than none sets me up to fail. It's like having a little bit of an addiction. Far easier to abstain. I think I've found something I can use in this.

Can someone expand on the 44:4 with more info...can't find any thing on it.

@Fred, I believe that's fasting for 44 hours followed by a 4-hour eating window. Rinse and repeat.

Typically no food after Saturday evening meal. Break the fast on Monday evening meal.

@Fred4Win, yes basically eating only 4 hours every 48 hours. So from Dinner Sunday until Dinner Tuesday. All I have between that is coffee (I drink it black), iced tea, or fizzy lemon water. I call it 4 hours because I typically nibble while preparing food, or if my wife is cooking, I'll snack on nuts, pepperoni or cheese while I'm in the kitchen visiting and waiting for the food and the 4 hours gives me time to go back for seconds if I'm still hungry.

@Draglist, yes I got Dr. Fung's book and read it and then loaned it to my brother and haven't seen it since. I'd like to read it again. That and the book "Why We Get Fat, and What To Do About It", by Gary Taubes or my two go-to reference books.

KPW an Sean thank you for the quick reply......Like you I am bored plus dietetic. But when fasting my blood sugar is down in the good numbers and do not need to take my meds. I check my own blood 3 to 5 times a day. I have lost my apatite, doing keto and never hungry and so started doing the warrior fasting diet. One meal a day. So maybe I will be a good candidate for this also. I will keep you posted.

My take on Sean's 44:4 eating. I have to prepare wife's meal every evening so for me to skip that day to go for 44 hours would tempt me. I have chose to have a lite zero carbo free meal on the odd days. Mainly a meat , fish dish or pork skins. That should hold my insulin down on the odd days and even days will have a window of about 1 hour cause I don't snack or taste while cooking. On the days I eat a full meal will still hold carbs around 5%. I like the idea of the 44:4 eating so thank you Sean for the suggestion.
