Today marks day 1 on my Journey to 180 lbs. I just moved back to college. I had a rough time over the holidays and ate alot of food, but now it's time to start losing that weight. I'll be removing sodas from my diet, drinking more water, and trying to eat less fast food.

You could try packing your lunch the day before with healthy foods and snacks that's the one thing that really helped me.

Hey John, happy to see that you are joining the weight loss family! Your story sounds so incredibly familiar to me...last year around this time I too weighed at my highest at 210 lb (Dec. 2015). I caught a cold so I didn't exercise at all, and paired with all of the holiday eating and drinking, I ballooned up. But Jan 1st last year I did what you did and dedicated myself to losing the weight. I got as far down as 190 lb by the summer and needless to say never felt better - not just physically but mentally and emotionally as well. Just dedicate yourself to the mission at hand and stay the course. I'm sure you'll be able to get down to your target weight...it just takes the commitment and some sacrifice. Good luck!

Good luck John..I had an Uncle who was an All-American football player. As soon as he was no longer engaged in sports (he later played Pro-baseball) he gained weight. My understanding is that the training keeps the weight off..but when the training stops then the weight pops on..So you might want to take time away from your books and the library to engage in some exercise.
