msrachel's Journal, 04 July 2016

It has been an extremely hard time for me lately. So much is going on in my personal life that I'm overwhelmed and I can't stop eating. I try to justify it by eating "healthy" foods, but I have more than a normal sized plate of these foods. Not only that, I have 2 or more plates! I have been given anti-depressants by my doctor. He charted me a strongly depressed. I used to walk one mile a day, but for the last month or so, only around the apartment or at my volunteer job. And it does not require much or any walking. I'm a receptionist at the front desk.
I'll report back in a couple of weeks to record how things are coming along with my weight and this depression that has me at a almost stand still with my weight and life.

Thank you Mike. I really appreciate your thoughts for what in going through. I have taken the anti-depressant for 5 days now and it's not much difference. I know they need time to get into my system to do me any good. So I'll have patience and stick to my to diet plan. As stated, I'll check back in a couple of weeks to record how things went for me.

:) Lol, it is Mike 99% of the time so I didn't even notice the misspell. Looking forward to seeing how you do in a couple of weeks. Patience is a tough one for me though when it comes to dieting.

Hello, I am happy to say that I have lost 2.5 pounds since my last weigh in! It was an adjustment for me because a few of my medicines had to be taken with food. I've been eating more fresh raw vegetables for snacking instead of munching on high calorie foods and snacks. I keep my veggies cut and ready in the frig. And when I find myself with the urge to have something crunchy, I get some of the red, yellow and orange peppers, or some baby carrots and or celery sticks. I am please with my overall progress with my weight. Eating the right foods has also helped with a few of my medical issues. Can't ask for anything better! Will keep you posted as I continue on this weight lost road to victory. And thank you so much for your encouragement. It really lifted me up from where I was three weeks ago.
