emzikin's Journal, 11 September 2023

This first week was a bit up and down due to being on annual leave. My weight crept up to 13st 6lb one day, which is only a scant stone away from my heaviest ever weight.

I have put my old weight back on so quickly that I'm under no illusions - the slope I'm on is slippery as hell. It is long past time to get a grip!

My anxiety over this is intense. It has led to a vicious cycle of comfort eating, but the pure fear of seeing those numbers on the scales has upped my determination to stop indulging my binge eating habits. Though I am still struggling to stay consistent enough to lose any weight, I seem to have platued for the last few months. While the lack of progress is a bit frustrating, it's better than further weight gain, at least.

I am happy to have maintained for this week, but I'm looking forward to feeling better in my own skin by slimming down in time for wedding dress shopping.

Marathon - not a sprint.
