BorderFilms's Journal, 13 April 2023

Aaah, a nice big drop! And that weight entry isn't even recent (it's from something like 10 days ago) because I don't have a scale where I'm staying this month (I'm a house/pet sitter -- need one?!).

Also today marks 100 days of no alcohol and intermittent fasting. It'll be interesting to see what the scale says when I have access to one again. And it may be time to revise my goal down to 200 or even 180.

Keep your eyes on the prize!
237.5 lb Lost so far: 42.5 lb.    Still to go: 17.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Congratulations! It's amazing what you will lose & gain just by dropping the alcohol.

Don't give up. The combo of no alcohol and IF is life changing. I added no caffeine and all anxiety is gone.

I once had a friend who did international house sitting and pet sitting. She went some fabulous places, all over the world. She even did a 3 month stint on a man’s boat on Bali. She did that for close to 10 years.

I've been house sitting for years... in places like Scotland, Ireland, Guatemala, Mexico and across Canada. It's fantastic to slow travel!

BorderFilms — I would love to hear the back story of how you both got started house sitting.

I started looking after houses and pets for friends when they went on vacation. Soon it expanded for me to do sits for other people around the world. It's great for long-form travel! I'll try to paste some links. I used Housecarers to find sits in the past, but now most are repeats or direct: http://dougmurray.housecare.hop.clickbank.net And my website: http://dougmurrayhousesitter.com/ (A little on the slow side) Reach out if you want more info!

BorderFilms— Very interesting how people sometimes just fall into something unexpected and have the confidence to just take it and go for it. I’m glad it is working so well for you. I bet you have had some fun and unique experiences
