Lourens H's Journal, 30 April 2021

I feel shit about my body today. I feel fat and disgusted and horrified because I over-endulged myself into the most unhealthy junk food the past three days and I picked up. It makes me feel horrible, oily, disgusted, and all that. And I know theoretically I'm probably fine RE: my weight and what else. I should not let this demotivate me. I must just start with my starvation cycle again... That will help. I was emotional the past few days hence the eating.
134.5 lb Lost so far: 13.2 lb.    Still to go: 11.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Diet Calendar Entry for 30 April 2021:

You need to be careful. You should research refeeding syndrome. Make sure you have nutrient dense foods. Especially vitamin b1 also know as thiamine. If you end up binging on high surgery foods and your body is malnourished. You can literally kill yourself. This mainly happens to people that have starved themselves over a long period of time. The number on the scale is not important. Just focus on being healthy and allow yourself to have a treat so you don’t end up binging. Take care of yourself 💚

Thanks you... For caring. I just have this problem with eating. I hate eating. But I want to eat too. Then I eat. Then I feel nasty. Then I hate myself again. This happens to me, I don't know why.

Best thing you can do. Is try to learn more about nutrition. I know it’s easy to develope an unhealthy relationship with food. I also suffer from that. It’s an everyday battle. Eating lots of clean foods will have you losing weight anyway. So there is no need to starve yourself. Eating foods with a high water content is packed with most of the nutrients you need and will help your metabolism. You will naturally lose weight without trying. There is definitely deeper issues. You deserve to love yourself and take care of yourself. Feed your body with healthy foods and your mind with positive thoughts. Don’t hate yourself. Be gentle with yourself.

Hi Lourens, I hope you are feeling better emotionally this week and that you get through what may be holding you back. Please consider that starvation is not a healthy nor consistent way of losing weight, and like FGS said, its easy to form an unhealthy relationship with food and we all are guilty to some extent, but remember how your body, mind and spirit have gone through so many changes and sometimes just needs a bit more time to reset, that's okay, being hard on yourself or punishing your body will only make things worse. So take your time, enjoy the occasional treats, thank your strong body for carrying you every single day without fail, try and eat nutrient dense foods, and if not that's okay, start again, run your race at own pace. You have come so far and your profile shows what a huge transformation you have had and are still busy going through, which not many people would be able to do, and that's definitely something to take great pride in 🤗 so soldier on and I look forward to seeing you persevere 🏃‍♂️🕺👏🌸

Hey man I'm sorry you had a rough few days, but a few days of bad eating isn't enough to throw you off course. It'll be fine. It's really not healthy to starve yourself, it's not a kind of diet it's an eating disorder. I had one for 4 years and you remind me so much of myself. The best thing to do if you've binged is to just keep eating normally, your body can regulate itself. If you start starving you keep yourself in the cycle. Take care of yourself too please

Starving is never the answer. In fact it makes it worse as your body goes into starvation mode and hence stores more fat. Have your fun days without guilt and then follow with a few days of good eating to level it out. Never talk bad about yourself. Focus on more little meals and have your carbs in the afternoon instead of evening. Little changes makes huge difference. Forget about quick fixes. You damage your body and in the end it wont budge to lose any weight. Life goes on, you want to have that piece of bday cake and that shooter. Trust yourself, you will get there. If I go heavy over a weekend, I just go lighter in the week. No pressure. Love your body and it will do what you want.

Ok number one: Take away foods are filled with sodium which causes bloating and water retention. Number 2: It’s three days out of how many? It’s a blip, a bump in the road, not a cliff you need to fall of off. Number 3: Love your body no matter what. It carries you daily, takes you where you want to be and functions for you. Number 4: Tomorrow is another day. Good nutrition, regular meals and loads of water and guess what - that weight will be off in no time.

V-shread carb cycling is the only thing that's worked for me personally. it's like eating NORMAL food which takes alot if stress out if it.

Don't be too hard on yourself, sometimes the "cheat meals" is more beneficial to you than you think. Don't try to starve yourself to make up for eating too much, just continue with your diet and let this motivate you to try harder....:)
