My aim is to get my body losing weight at 2200 Cals

Hi Noeline, Ketones measuring is useful if you are following a Keto diet. There are 2 methods,
1. Keto urinalysis strips - Easy and cheap 2. Blood Ketone meter (my preferred) - Accurate but can be costly $8 for 10 strips vs $8 for 100 urinalysis strips. The blood ketone meter allows me to really hone in my diet.

Definitely linked, Ketosis (process by which when body burns fat)so a measurement of ketones (by product of the breakdown of fatty acids) roughly allows you to determine at what rate the body is burning fat. Hope that helps
