Intermittent fasting has changed my life 🤗 doing 23/1 fasting method. Fasting for 23 hours and eating in a 1 hour eating window.
172.6 lb Lost so far: 36.8 lb.    Still to go: 29.3 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 10.8 lb a week

Congrats! That is awesome! I do 16/8 from time to time but I really want to do a 20/4 fast (eating window 4-8pm) but I never seem to be able to hold out all day. Any advice? I sure could use it. What do you eat to break your fast and how many calories do you eat during your window? If you'd rather talk about it in private that would be great too. I could use a friend to help me suceed. ☺

Hie Niki, well i used to do the 16/8 but that’s wasn’t really working for me because I would over eat in the 8 hours eating period. So i went to 20/4 which worked great my eating window period was from 12pm -4pm , then I decided to push my body further to the 23/1 method because I’m starting a 7 day water fast today . When I break my fast I usually eat 2eggs , 100grams of chicken breast and veggies in total I consume 500-900 calories . Some people might come for me but this is what’s working for me. I also drink only water throughout the day ..... I really hope you find this useful 🤗. Ps I’m not a professional or anything just a girl trying out what works for her to get in shape.

Thank you so much for the reply. That is great. I want to have that much control and am going to keep working hard to try and achieve it. I found I was doing the same thing, overeating with an 8 hr window which is why I really want to get to a 20/4. Everyone has a different journey and I'm glad you found this and it is working for you. 😁 I feel so much better in a fasted state. Thanks again!

I mostly do intermittent fasting too, but it still all boils down to how many calories you put in. I have added a lot of veggies and fresh fruit to my diet, that really helped me a lot. Try eating smaller bites and savoring your food rather than eating with a big fork, try a salad fork, bite on it look larger. And switch to smaller bowls and plates. Remember, this is a lifestyle change, not just a diet.

That just seems like not enough nutrition, but I can definitely see what you're getting results. I'm currently fasting most days 16/8, and eating only about 300 calories in the first 5 of my 8 hours, leaving most calories for dinner. Sometimes I have a snack after dinner and some days I go crazy with that snack. Just trying to change my lifestyle day by day.

You're doing great! Don't listen to any detractors. I didn't and I went from being obese all my adult life to averaging only 20% body fat. Good luck on your fast!

Accidentally deleted my comment. lol I am doing intermittent fasting with Keto. 18/6. I was given the advice to find someone who is a good source and stick with them. It's hard to not bounce around from plan to plan so I chose Dr. Eric Berg, who has lots of good informational YouTube videos and a great book called The New Body Type Guide. I was following him and losing the weight but self-destructive behaviors are hard to break. After feeling yucky again, complete with brain fog, I am back on my plan. After just a few days, the brain fog was gone and now I am feeling good again. Intermittent fasting was the game changer for me. Good luck!

How do you do that!! I eat dinner at 7:30 pm wake up at 6:30 and I’m starving by 8:30 am. It’s just not possible to do even a 16:8

I have been doing IF and EF (longest 4 days) I have lost almost 93 lbs and went from 22/24 to a 14 bottom and m/l top. I follow Dr Jason Fung . He is a guru when it comes to this way of eating. I have now joined a new gymn and will start working on core and weights. It has changed my life!

@jenniferhunter5818 - What works for me it to consume *no calories* in the morning when fasting. For example no cream in your coffee. I find that I only get hungry *after* I consume calories (when my blood sugar starts to fall).
