Holy moly! The universe gave me an unexpected gift. I lost 4.3 lbs this week!!! Not only did this compensate for my small gains for the last 2 weeks but I blasted right past my goal of 145 lbs. which is the number that gives me a NORMAL BMI. I am stunned! I guess the med changes settled down and my metabolism is happy. I added a ton of water to my daily intake and went back to drinking my protein shakes every day. Maybe that helped. This is a real 'shot in the arm' and has renewed my faith that "Yes Virginia, there is weight loss after menopause"!
Okay, so here I go. I'm resetting my goal weight today. In the back of my mind, I'm wondering if I could ever reach 130 lbs., but rather than get too ambitious, I'm headed for 135 lbs. At that point, if I make it, I will decide if I'm done.
