A 2-pound drop - but has happened over a couple of weeks, not just this last week. Last week, there had been no change - which was not consistent with what the scale had been reflecting since beginning intermittent fasting in October. I only tract food on Monday and Wednesday each week, as those are the days I limit caloric intake to about 500 calories. As I thought back, I realized that I had consumed a lot of sodium the previous weekend - pizza (spouse makes amazing pizza in our wood-burning heater), oh, and that nice helping of homemade sauerkraut...I am sure that is what influenced the number on the scale. At any rate, I am glad that is sorted!

Intermittent fasting (5/2) continues to work very well for me. I have always avoided packaged, processed foods. We grow a huge garden - and even raise chickens, and since I was in college, have tried to make everything from scratch. (My brother and sister-in-law gave me a subscription to Mother Earth News when I was young and impressionable - and I married a like-minded man. So eating healthy food has never been a problem. Portion sizes and being misled by the war on fat probably led to my gradual gain over the years.

The first indication I had that this was working for me was not just the loss of a few pounds on the scale, but I noticed I had a waist again! And that my midrif was decreasing! I am now needing to replace some of my clothes! Woo hoo!
128.0 lb Lost so far: 12.0 lb.    Still to go: 13.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
