Don't let it discourage you too much, you're making progress that's what counts. I'm trying to let go of all my self-imposed deadlines and just think of myself on a long long journey with no end date. Hard at times though, like birthdays.

If you can walk a little each day it will help. Sometimes our bodies are our own worse enemies. I have problems with hypertension too. I never realized how much sodium I eat in prepackaged foods until fat secret. Stay positive.

Just think where you were last birthday. You should be so proud of yourself. 46 lbs is great. Like many have said on this site. "It's a life style change not a diet race. I have to remind myself too.

I never checked back to see these encouraging journal comments -- sorry gals, I do appreciate the support. Z's -- you're absolutely right: This is a lifelong journey and all that counts is that I move forward. Winrider, I assure you I walk every day. There's nothing quite like being dragged around the block by a Sheltie four times a day when it's 15 degrees out. Just finished walking Hermione in a full out blizzard. Even she was less than enthusiastic. And Kathy -- you are SO right. On my last birthday, I was too embarrassed to keep the photos. This year, I am so ready to party. Thanks again for all the back up. It really does help.
