Day 5 of a planned 5 days of mostly ‘no solid food’ fasting
I only lost 4 pounds this week not the normal 5.
However, I was sick this week, so I did not run at all.
😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

Either I did something wrong on the BBcode or it only works in original journal entry.

@RgaDawg - Yeah BBCode.org only works in your journal entries not comments. You can only use 🥳✨Emojis in comments 👍🏾🙌🏾

@Raider Lady - When I only drink protein shakes during the day, I am able to get my carbs around 15-20 carbs a day. That causes me to drop about a pound a day. If I take in the same carbs and calories with solid food, I lose slower. Just something I discovered.

@liv001 - Thanks. The real 'positive progress' will be *not* gaining a lot this weekend when I do eat. I hope to not gain any weight on Saturday because I plan to run and keep the carbs below 50.

i think when we find what works for us to continue our journey toward our specific goals, we certainly stick to it. that being said, @Raider, unless one was seriously overweight, a pound a day is unrealistic and is just as @Diablo described. The benefit of @Adef's plan for himself is the "net" result - i.e. 4 pounds equals 1 or 2 pounds, and this is just an assumption by me. For me i have gone low, i.e. less than 1000 cals/day, tried the leangains way, worked with "elimination" i.e. carbs or sugar, etc., and gone with CICO, and when i go with elimination or extremely low cals, it(weight) bounces back with a vengeance - but these routes can be effective to jumpstart weight loss, keep the body guessing, break through a plateau, but getting back to balanced diet will insure you can sustain your weight loss for the long haul. only my opinion, YMMV. You have to choose what works for you. @Adef finds this works for him.
