Why would I be heavier? I did arms & shoulders and almost 1.5 hours of cardio since the last weight in at 173? I did increase my protein shake intake to 3 a day, and I am drinking more water. Pizza tonight was not the best idea, high carb & fats...still my day balanced out well. I guess its the name of the game, weight is volatile. Who knows what I will weight tomorrow!

If you've been doing a lot of exercise, especially lifting weights, then you have probably replaced fat with muscle mass. You could weigh the same or more and still be slimmer in inches because muscle is heavier than fat. It also helps you to burn calories when you are resting. Don't worry so much about day to day weight as it can fluctuate depending on several factors. Follow your weight loss over a longer amount of time and you will be very happy with the results. Good luck! :)

Google "why the scale lies". Your muscles retain water (especially with strength training) to help them heal and it can show on the scale as a temporary gain, no loss or small loss. It could be sodium bloat, or one of many other factors that effect our bodies water weight (our bodies are made up of 60% water.) If you on plan and exercising, it will eventually show up on the scale. That doesn't mean it will be today or tomorrow though.
