Well, so much for that ridiculous vacation binge - the scale is almost all the way back down to where it was before I left.
It's incredible to me that a week of gluttony can cause a 14 pound spike in weight, which is almost all gone within a week. Anyone doubting the huge effect that water weight and undigested foods can have on the scale, without affecting actual body mass, just needs to look at my weight history chart...

It's a great reminder (to me, anyway) that there really is no need to be too insanely, strictly perfect about diet. Real weight gain - the kind that gets us all to sites like this in the first place - happens more gradually than one meal, one day, or even apparently one week. But by the same token, so does real fat loss.
It also makes me think I should be incorporating some refeeding and/or carb cycling into my diet.
