Only a pound, but in the right direction. I'm happy with 1 to 2 pounds a week, it's a good healthy pace for me. I'm finally getting some definition in the absence, muscle mass increase, and waistline shrinking.

1-2 pounds a week is the best speed to go anyway. It gives your body time to adjust and your skin time to shrink. It is just that we all want immediate gratification.

Slow and steady will get you where you need to be and is far easier to maintain. Your body will adjust as it nears your goal and you have less of a risk of regaining.

In my experience, you don't need to lift weights to get muscles - you just have to burn off all the fat covering them!
