Today I found out my resting heart rate is in the athletic range. I sure don't feel like an athlete. Anyways my body composition scale has an athletic mode. The criteria to use the athletic mode are a low resting heart rate and at least 5 hours of vigorous activity per week. Well I've been weight training 5 days a week for a few months so I thought "Let's try this out!" Well. It pumped my muscle up by 10 lbs!!! And dropped me down to 25% body fat... to say I was disappointed is an understatement. All this time I've been lifting heavy and dieting, all I had to do is press a button! 😅 The reality is this: This scale is actual trash. So much for the "sensors" used to measure body composition. At least now I know not to take any stock in what it says. My wallet may be lighter but I'm back to just using my photos and circumference measurements for progress 🙃
