Wishing you luck! You are doing well and I have faith that you will get this thing figured out. You are a determined person and that will help you achieve your goals. It's okay to have a "cheat" day on the holiday and you were smart to take your own food with you. You've got this!

good job looking at yourself and figuring things out. If you need fuel during your long fasting periods, fat is your friend. organic heavy whipping cream is great in coffee and no carbs to under a .5 carb depending on if you fill the coffee cup halfway. LOL! since the Splenda does not effect you at least it will be drinkable. I can not go without my coffee in the morning especially when I am doing the short term fast

a few questions and a statement?? LoL I assume you are doing intermittent fasting and not extended fasting? and hey we all have our "thing".. coffee and an occasional nip of the giggle water are mine..but I'm confused when you say you are trying to get as much sugar as possible in..especially during your fasts. cuz sugar (real) essentially turns into carbs and fat in your body once consumed and the traditional fake sugar can mimic an insulin response and make it harder for you to lose weight. (and no judgement btw...I loooove the sugar as much as the next guy) I guess what I'm trying to say is are you doing a keto diet with IF or some other diet?..cuz low carb in turn MUST mean low sugar..they are linked. and the worst possible combo is high fat/sugar combo..that will be way worse weight wise...also if you love the sweets have you tried Swerve or monk fruit sweeteners or stevia? they are much better than aspartame sweeteners like splenda/equal/sweetnlow...they work for me and there are a TON of awesome keto desert recipes that use swerve and satisfy the sweet tooth...like damn good brownies, cheesecake, cookies, etc. I just googled keto deserts and I about fainted and drooled all over..like a kid looking through the glass at a candy store. I dunno just trying to be helpful with what worked with my sugar cravings. 💜

@KerryKeto - Yikes! I could see how my statement could be taken as implying that I WANTED more sugar. No, I need to cut the sugar! :) I updated the journal entry to hopefully clarify my meaning. Right now I am only doing 'the best I can'. It is a 'mental game'. Also a real addiction to sugar. Sloooow progress for me. Working reaaaaly hard :)

@Adefwebserver. LOL I am so sorry I misinterpreted. I've been up since 4:30...I probably was half asleep when I read it. We are all doing the best we can, and I'm sure you will continue to do awesome! I totally feel you on the sugar addiction...it is so hard to resist for me especially when I see EVERYONE around me diving in face first. Keep up he good work!

you need to look up some of those fat bomb recipes, you will not feel deprived if you have something like those to perk up those taste buds.

@adef Hey brother. Props for the self reflection. Have you considered a "Sugar Fast"? Youi are th3e king of the extended fast, but how about trying to go 48 hours without sugar? The Snake Diet guy says 48 hours is all it takes to break the sugar/food addiction. Who knows, but it seems like a decent place to start. Also, have you considered SEX as a hobby? Better than sugar, more addictive, and can be structured as LISS, HIIT, or resistance work...

best of luck kicking the sugar, difficult. for me the sugar substitute created the same sugar cravings as the real stuff. one bite gets me re-addicted. I'm ok if I abstain, but its VERY difficult.

I think about sugar, but just don't go there when I'm on a diet. If I just look at a carb, I will stop losing weight. If I indulge, it puts be back two weeks, I can't get back to fat burning sooner than that although I can get into ketosis after a few days, no real weight loss. So, in the end, it's just not worth it.

@Steven Anthony - It is the same with me. Not much loss recently. Motivated to make some changes! So far today I'm at 0 carbs :)

@jimmiepop - Yes. Today is "Splenda Only", However, I When I hit 171 (as I sit here I am 178 after my morning run) that is my goal moving forward. (Heavy sigh). This is REALLY hard for me… :)

@jimmiepop - When I wrote my original journal I had "Sex" as #3. Then I had a hard time fitting it into the conclusion and ended up taking it out :)

I am still not thrilled yet with my chocolate coconut one, but it is like candy. I will be working on a few. I went to the health food store to get some extra things to be able to play

definitely looks interesting. I found a website with over 60 recipes and since I am a chocolate freak, I will be testing a few that I think are interesting. they have real food bombs too.

Good luck on cutting out the carbs! I think that will really help you. That was definitely my weakness. Before switching to Keto, I basically starved myself all day so I’d have room for carbs at the end of the day and stay under 800 cals. Very unhealthy;cutting the carbs to 10-15 (whole) “Keto approved” carbs a day “cured” my carb addiction. I’m terrified to eat carbs again though. I don’t know if my addiction will reserface
