Spent a solid four hours fixing the stupid patio umbrella yesterday, but it's done and it's correctly functional. Stringing it wasn't the issue once I realized it was just easier to take it apart, but there is a mechanism, out of sight, that locks up when not properly assembled and of course that's not apparent until I put the whole darn thing back together. All that aside, I am now a qualified expert and can tackle the next one when it inevitably happens. Biggest takeaway lesson: buy the cable with the wire in it. Much easier to push through and you don't have to guess on pathway size when using weights and gravity.
Knocked out a partial swim yesterday trying to fit in my stuff and other peoples' as well. Twenty minutes in the pool, medium walk before bed. Fighting with the umbrella also burned up some calories.Awkward weights are always fun.
Going out for a goodbye dinner tonight, so will save up my calories during the day. Not sure how much time I'll have for actual exercise, but we'll have to make it work. Except for this, rushing around this morning trying to get stuff done.
My foot. Ugh. Blisters from the bites are still there, I have been so good at not scratching them. Did another long soak at the end of the night with Epsom salts. Cannot wait for them to be gone. Sciatic episode seems to have resolved, but I have to say I'm enjoying hanging upside down twice a day, so will keep it up. Guessing that not sitting for twelve hours a day probably helps a lot.
Some things are under control, some aren't. I really need to take a couple days off. Tried to take a half day Friday. That exploded in chaos as I was trying to get out the door. I should be looking at stuff today. Not gonna. Enough.
