Phase 1 is easier than I thought it would be. Seriously after those first couple of days, the cravings DID go away and I was able to walk past temptation and not dive right in (even pizza and chocolate). I have been eating the crap out of that mocha ricotta dessert too (without the coffee flavor). It is really satisfying to have that little bit of chocolate fix and is SO quick and easy to make. Today I went out to eat lunch with some of the firefighters (all boys)... and of course they wanted chinese and not something easy like Applebees where I could get a salad. Fortunately, our chinese restaurant is NICE and not only has a HUGE buffet, but a grill as well for you to pick out what you like and they'll cook it. I chose the garlic sauce to have them saute everything in. Well, unfortunately it must have had a lot of sugar, cause I went home and crashed out for like a 3 hour long nap. Oh well, I tried. I didn't even eat ANYTHING fried... and walked past the egg rolls and fried dumplings (my favorite!!!) with ease... and didn't even eat my fortune cookie. This is all a first for me and I am SO proud of myself. With the Atkins diet, I still wanted to eat the stuff and still had the cravings, but with SB, not only is everything healthy, but I don't HAVE to have the dessert after every meal. SO AMAZED! I just weighed myself as it is exactly one week from the first time I got my weight and I am down to 207.2 from 210.8!!!! That is so awesome for me! 3.6 pounds YES! I have not even started exercising yet as I wanted to adapt to the SBD a little first. I can't wait to see results then. I hope everyone else is doind as well too. I have already started my recruitment efforts to let everyone else know how fabulous this diet is and how great I feel.

Sounds like you are doing great!! Eating out is the hardest part to me. But it feels so good when you make the right choices. good for you!!

If anyone on SB has not gotten the dining out guide... get it. It's cheap and worth it. Not only does it break down each type of food like chinese, italian, etc, and what to get, but it breaks it even further to specific restaurants like Applebees, Wendy's (everything common)... foolproof! And if you live in a big city like Washington DC, NYC, Chicago (or are visiting soon), it gives specific restaurants and meals at those restaurants to enjoy. I LOVE IT! It makes it so much easier just to look up the food in advance and plan ahead then go to the restaurant and ponder over all the food that looks so good, but is so not right for you while on this diet.

Good Morning girl! Don't you look AWESOME on the chart! GO girl! I love your attitude! I agree the SBD is helping me not crave things. I have been out to restaurants & been able to resist. Even a restaurant that has my favorite Bread Pudding with Ameretto sauce - oh YEAH! My 2 friends had it & did't finish it & it just sat there in the middle of the talble torturing me. But I WON!! Girl, it is also your mindset! The SBD, this website are all WONDERFUL asset's to our goal but without the TUDE we can't accomplish this! So keep up the good work & keep posting because all of us here want to cheer you on! POM-POM'S are flying!! I also thank all the people on FATSECRET that have been so awesome to us newbies! THANK YOU!!! VVvvrrooooomm... SMOKIN" down the track- it's a BLACK PORSCHE jammin'........ YEAH BABY!!!!!

I forgot to thank you for the head's up on the book. I am traveling to New York the end of March & I may just have to pick up the book! In little town Montana it probably isn't much use but when I get out back into the big world - Yeah! I'm from San Francisco so living here is so different! I need my big city fix once in a while! Again, GREAT JOB!!
