That's okay, girl! You will be headed in a downward direction from this point, I am sure! Keep your eyes on the goal. You will be feeling so much better in no time. God will give you strength! ;)

First - thanks for being my South Beach Buddy, Kiddo! Are you on Phase III of South Beach? I did South Beach three years ago and lost twenty pound fast - maybe too fast? When I put the fruit and whole wheat bread back into this healthy plan - I saw a gain. Maybe that's what's happening. Just keep goin' girl - you're on the right path!

Yes, I'm on Phase III. I've done very well considering September 25th will be my 2 year Anniversary of starting the diet. I've only recently gained the 7 lbs back. That is all my fault though for not paying any mind to what I stuffed in my big mouth. Thanks to both of you for the encouragement!

Don't be TOO TOUGH on yourself - healthy eating and activity are a constant and lifelong process. Reward yourself internally for the good things you do to take care of yourself. As a teacher - I go for three-month stretches without seeing people with whom I work. I once lost twenty pounds over the summer vacation. On the first day of school, a co-worker announced, "You'll gain it back: you always do." Wow! The kind things you say to yourself have got to be LOUDER than anything else.

Cobra fan wrote "The kind things you say to yourself have got to be LOUDER than anything else." That is such a true statement! I think I'll commit this one to memory.

If you get an over-abundance of the self discipline, send it my way. Good attitude! Joyce
