week 30 day 6: (total gain 19lbs) glad I had another drop. will be last one for this pregnancy week. I relaxed most of the day yesterday. 3rd trimester fatigue hit me like a brick wall 🧱. We went out to eat with my father in law, who was visiting from WI on his way to rapid City. I woke up at 5am with a Charley horse in my right calf.... strange thing, it started to let up and then came back 2 fold. So much for my work out..... my calf is still stiff and sore.... I'll see what I can do...
226.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 0.7 lb a week

I hate those! Did you try extending your heel and curling your toes towards you to stretch your calf muscle? That usually works for me. They hurt!

I HATE Charlie horses. They are a nightmare. Can you have a magnesium bath when you are pregnant? They help mine. Epsom salts.

I drank electrolytes today, which have magnesium, potassium...etc in them. We spent alot of time outside in 98degree wheather. I was drinking water but apparently it wasn't enough.

Windy, I usually do ankle rolls when I awaken' cuz of plantar fascitis. This got me in the middle of sleep. 😭 I hope it doesn't happen again, it was awful. I fear Charley horses more then labor, seriously...

A miserable way to be awaken. I had one in the groin area the other night, don't know what brought that on. Hope things get better for you.

as a retired NICU RN that deliveredd.2 large babies. cramps were horrible from mid second trimester. check with your doctor but the only thing that helped me was chewing 2 EX Tums 2 or 3 x a day. cramps were gone. creating life building a new human is a very taxing activity. the baby takes nuerishment from you and leaves you depleted. Calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium all water based so must be replaced every day. be careful taking anything during pregnancy but I do know that the baby builds bone and tissue constantly in utero and Calcium is a huge pull.

Jasonsdragon- I remember that similar thing with my 2nd boy, I'm more diligent this time around to prevent pain! I do take Tums for heartburn, at the least once daily, I'm not a big milk drinker but i do like other forms of dairy. Electrolytes help replenish with potassium, magnesium..etc. my first baby was 7lb, 2nd was 8lbs, I really hope this one isn't 9lbs! 😂😅

hot towels and dill pickle juice is my go to. Don't know if is acceptable during pregnancy. Hope "Charley" leaves you alone.
