I lost half a pound this week. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!!
My office had our yearly No Turkey Potluck yesterday. It was a feast, like always. 25 main dishes, 24 appetizers, 2 tables of desserts, and more. I ate like a pig. It was amazing! I was stuffed myself yesterday. I couldn't eat anything after that grand lunch. Well, I ate a pear, but that was it.
So how in the world did I lose half a pound this week? Hmm. Well, besides yesterday's lunch, I have been really good about keeping to my daily caloric intake. And I'm buying veggies and making sure I eat them. Perhaps that's it? I've had weeks where I wonder why I gained weight despite giving my all, but I've never wondered how I lost weight despite eating like a pig.
Maybe things are starting to look up. Maybe my body reset to this weight and is ready to stay in the 140's. (A big hurray to that! It's so great to be at this weight after a decade of gaining weight!) Maybe this weight loss journey is nowhere near over. Maybe I WILL reach my goal. That feels nice to write.
