Living in a coop in NYC, I never have to worry about this, lol. But that sounds like a great workout and I’m sure you feel very accomplished afterwards. And the neighbors can go scratch, lol. 

You can get your steps that way. :) It is a good exercise, but it is also a chore. 

Your food plate looks awesome!!! 

This made laugh. I spent all morning edging my front . I did it the hard way- with a shovel. 4 hours including cleanup 

Sounds gruesome!  

I hate it too! I always let it go till I can't, 😂 It's a good workout tho! 

Condo living was a good choice for me 

I love yard work and soo miss it. I'd be happy to help if you were my neighbor..lol.  

Ha, you coop and condo dwellers got it made! Someday I’m going for that. I considered hiring a kid to do it but was wanting the sunshine and workout in reality. Those of you that enjoy yard work are welcome to come do my backyard now because I chumped out today 😅

I had a love / hate relationship with our yard until my Smart watch showed me the calorie burn from working it ...Fresh air, sunshine, extra water intake, getting to admire your own creation and hard work and a fantastic workout = win win 😭🤣😭 

I don't mind weed whacking... my hubby does the riding lawn mower and our 4 yr old loves to tag along for the ride. he had me drive it once across the yard pulling a garden cart full of bricks....never before have I, and hopefully never again 😬 

How many calories to burn the lawn? 

ahhh the neighbors side eye 🤣 i think i got that yesterday. mehh, good thing I don't care! they rent, I own 🤣 I'll get to it soon though. it's not that bad.  

I am fortunate one of my next door neighbors are not obsessed with their lawn . ( should that be is not obsessesed??? Teacher Tracy?) doesn’t make me look bad. One thing that has helped. I got a battery powered mower so i can listen to an ebook or podcast while mowing. 

tjvoigts- I kid you not... I call it "The Call of the Lawn Men" people really do become obsessed with mowing. One person mows, all of a sudden everyone in the neighborhood has their mower out. Its creepy. We aren't from this neighborhood so we really don't care. We came from a different state, Illinois, which went thru a pretty severe drought a while back. We learned don't mow unless you really have to, in the effort to preserve yard green. Then, in 2021 south Dakota had a drought. Everyone kept up their religion of mowing and their lawn turned crispy and pale. We didn't. We were the only house on the entire street with green lawn. 😂 I'm not joking, we mowed maybe 2x that whole summer. 

Mojo-13 — I like the IDEA of a house but I just don’t have the lifestyle for it. Not willing to give up playing outside to take care of it 

Ha! A large percentage in my neighborhood are retired so they have a bit more time to pay attention. And it’s always like what you said, Dazey. They hear a mower and are outside within the hour to rev theirs up. 😂 

Home ownership ain’t all it’s cracked up to be for sure. 🙃 So many unfinished projects. 

Moko! 😱 You know exactly what I mean then! Oh at first it creeped me out. I feel like they stop whatever they are doing and rush the hell out there, it's too funny 🤣
