I hurt my back and cant exercise much so I tried combining the Mediterranean diet with intermittent fasting. I only take in calories for 6-7 hrs a day and limit myself to 1200-1400 cal per day. the first week was hard because im a chronic snacker and a night owl. but after 3 days I felt less like eating at night and now im proud when my tummy rumbles in the morning because im getting hungry. my blood sugar and blood pressure are way down too. the hard part is when the scale doesnt follow along with the program! this morning I had gained a pound. just because I had yams at dinner. a nutritionist suggested I try cutting meat out of my diet one meal a week and every week add another meatless meal. ive started that this week to try to eat more plant based proteins.

Good on you. I don't eat after 8 pm and I have lost 52 lbs since Dec. I, for sensitivity issues to beef, eat mostly a plant based diet.

I eat plant based at least 4 times a week the rest of the time it's meat based.
