Made myself weigh in -- only up 1 lb from the holiday, but had hoped to be down as I leave tonight for 8 days to go "back home" for my goddaughter's wedding & to see my aging Mom (who is in the early stages of dementia). Rehearsal & dinner tomo night (I'm doing a reading in the wedding mass) and wedding Fri night. Out to dinner with friends Sat night. Then hubby flies out Sun & I stay with Mom in the "hospitality suite" at her retirement home until next Thurs. So, various stresses throughout that I'll be tempted to deal with by eating... really, overeating/sugar binging. So, how will I deal with it? Because of all the great advice & support here, I'm trying to think of 1 day, meal or minute at a time, and to express my feelings instead of stuffing them with food. Will workout each morning -- going back to my childhood home & where I still visit at least a few times each year, makes that part easy as I know all the places I like to go to spin, boot camp, zumba, etc. Will log everything -- no excuses as I have the FS app on both my phone & iPad. And finally, will relax, enjoy and be mindful of my food choices but not let my ability to obsess over it overshadow the festivities and fun! So, my FS friends, wish me luck -- I'll be needing you all more than ever over this trip... & then home for the holidays!
