My sister went to a dietician. If you decide to change, I will let you know her diet. Maybe it is worth giving a try? Just a thought. I feel for you. xoxo

have you tried a fat fast? On carnivore do you eat a lot of protein? I've heard too much protein in relation to fat can cause slow loss, it has happened with me. But now I'm slow to loose just because I went off my woe, have to get back to it! I'm think of trying a day or 2 with bone broth, herb tea and water to help kick start it.

That might not be a bad idea to increase the fat. I went to publix yesterday and caught them cutting meat, they throw all that excess fat away and I asked for it. got a couple pounds no charge. I bought some beef bones at $2 a pound to make a bone broth. you have to ask where they hide them in the freezer section. both those might make a nice addition to your carnivore. I put a little fat in the bone broth but I needed to up my fat on this all meat diet so I fry up a small portion of fat to add to my lower fat meat. better than butter. Just a thought. too much butter and it runs right through me.

I think a couple weeks of your increased exercise is really going to make a difference too, maybe you will be losing more size then actual weight. many do this at first.

Haha kimberlyfielding don't mean to laugh but they are mostly a joke! They tried to give you advice without doing any lab work they are very much into the calorie and calorie out they follow ADA guidelines which has been proven by science to be very wrong and has caused the diabetic epidemic in United States. I'll stick to my doctor who has no explanation at the moment

No typically I'm 80-100 g protein, yesterday was odd because of lunch. Usually 0 carb, 73% fat, the rest protein. Yes I've tried a fat fast, didn't do anything, from what I've read some people do wellsome people need more protein some people need less proteins, who knows. I'd really like to go on a long fast but then I won't sleep which will raise my quarters all and compound the problem of stress

Typo raise my cortisol not quarters. And Baskington, I hope your right!👍 ya

I'm wondering if you are just having a plateau after your 23 lb loss. I know you are eager to see results and feel something is wrong (with your diet or how your body works) but everything may be working as it should except for a stubborn, frustrating and demoralizing plateau. Since you are feeling better maybe you should continue on with this program that has you feeling more energetic and allows you to exercise. Read up on plateaus. (Atkins talks about them in his second book ~1980.) They DO eventually crumble! Your stressing about all this does not help your progress. Plateaus are just more evidence that calories/in calories out is a farce.

keto and carnivore are lifestyles not just diets. they are maintainable and if you looked into it you would see many people do this happily and healthier then they have been before in their lives. and no doing keto correctly with the correct calories does not generate fast weight loss, other then the couple pounds in the beginning of water weight. Granted some people do, but most plug along as the diet heals their body first.

@Dsmileynyc: Unfortunately for some of us we gain back when we overreach our tolerance for carbohydrates and low carb needs to become our permanent lifestyle. This is physiological and has to do with our insulin response to food, not to mention the addictive nature of some carbohydrates that can promote binging. What many people don't know about the Atkins diet is that the next step in the process was to add back carbohydrates until weight gain began to occur. Each person could then find their own individual tolerance for carbohydrates and by keeping to it avoid re-gain.

Low carb will always be my lifestyle I'm not an idiot, this is a three month stall. What I'm doing is trying to avoid the starvation diet always being hungry, sure I can lose if I 800 cal but I'm always hungry and lightheaded.

Don't comment on this post if you're not pro keto or low-carb lifestyle

Trackin64 the phase 3 adding carbs was to find your maintenance level to stop losing. "Phase 3 (fine-tuning): When you’re very close to your goal weight, add more carbs to your diet until weight loss slows down."

"sure I can lose if I 800 cal, but I am always hungry and lightheaded"
48 hour fast cures those symptoms for me. I found fasting easier and more effective than a VLCD, which I agree is a miserable experience. Also, I encourage you you to persist. You were 186.5 when you launched carnivore and logged 183 a couple days ago. You haven't gained 2# of fat since then...

JJ: Rome wasn't built in a day. Starvation for me always kicked my body into slow digestion. Which meant one poop per day. I'm at 4 poops a day now and my body welcomes the low carbs and high fat. If you keep the digestion track moving somehow (however you can) I think you will have a breakthrough. Just my experience not books or videos.
