a jtaylor's Journal, 22 April 2019

Despite a birthday, mine, involving cake and the Chinese buffet with my gang, I did really well. I have upped my exercise regime and am now getting the chunky Westies into shape before their visit to the Vet in May. She is always on us about how robust they are, nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Personally, I don't think she realizes Westies are supposed to be robust. I also have to see the knee specialist at the end of May and really need to be in shape or he will just throw me out of his office. If you are wondering, I had my right knee replaced in 2014, just over a year ago my own orthopaedic Dr told me my replaced knee was worn out!! How the hell do you wear out a steel knee in 4 years is beyond me? A Monday or Friday one I guess. Anyway, you all know the first thing out of a modern Dr is, " Hey fat boy you gotta' lose some tonnage now!!" So knowing that I have been. Lots of other health issues associated with a belly though. My spine surgeon told me every pound on the belly was equal to 7 on the back and 5 on the knees. Who can remember that when the Easter Bunny ladened with chocolate delights is kicking in your door. Hey managed a pound and that's progress!! Need to cross that line though.
