Windy Day's Journal, 24 July 2024

Good Wednesday morning peeps! Hope everyone has woke to a hot cup and a great start to their day.

Had my allergy appointment yesterday. So per Doc's words, Im a "hiver". Which basically means one day you wake up and your body decides it doesnt like you (and can also be linked to thyroid, yay). So mine are apparently the chronic type, which according to her can last a month or a year, or two, or forever. From our talk it seems I react to heat, cold, exercise, and various contact reactions to pesticides on produce and chemicals in various cleaners/shampoos etc. She gave me a prescription for a daily antihistamine to take then back to see her again in 4 weeks unless I run into trouble beforehand. The idea being to reset my body and get off medication altogether. I am hopeful.

All that aside, I lost another lb since yesterday! I absolutely feel like this 24 hr fast has reset my body. Cravings have nearly stopped and I feel good energy. Cannot wait to do the next one.

Good Morning Windy!! Oh man, I'm an undiagnosed hiver, too! I always got hives due to cold and exercise and thought I was just crazy. Learned in nursing school it's an actual thing and I'm not as crazy as originally thought 😂 I take an allergy pill daily, which helps so much!! Hope you get some relief!

Good morning, wifemama! Oh, so you know exactly what its like! Nope youre not crazy! The paperwork they gave me says exercise induced hives are potentially dangerous. Idk why but I will research why. The heat and exercise are what really sets me off on a bad reaction, like head to toe bad. I started my Rx we'll see how it goes. Hoping it doesnt make me too drowsy. Thanks! Nice drop Holly !!! 👏 I'm thinking I might try a 24hr fast starting tonight after dinner . Just want to see if I can do it before the moon fast. I'd hate to start that fast n crash the day of so I'm going to practice I guess lol. Hopefully nothing bad happens before hand and you can wait the whole 4 weeks to go back to the doctor. Fingers crossed for you and prayers are being said daily 🙏 🥰❤🥰

Thanks Erin, I was thrilled for sure! I dont blame you, I would too. I like the moon phases part of it, but absolutely fasting is fasting and I am sure you will get great results. Definitely! I also think starting evening after dinner really helped me. Couple short hours til bedtime, sleep thru a good bit, then just a few hours before dinnetime again and it goes pretty fast. Good luck, drink LOTS! And thank you so much for the prayers, I am praying for you too girl 🙏 ❤️🥰❤️
