Up in weight over the Christmas holidays and one more celebration to go as I'll be having my kids over this Saturday to celebrate our Christmas. The "goodies" are gone from the house, we'll have tacos/fajitas that day so it won't be too bad as far as carbs. I've got some low carb wraps to use. Really looking forward to seeing my kids/grandkids on my side of the family and then moving forward into the new year, time to get back in gear with living healthier.
My physical activity may be limited for a while. I'd been having problems with my right achilles tendon, that's a lot better but now my left achilles is really bad. Very strange as it was fine until the day after Christmas. We were visiting family in Buffalo and just taking it easy, I woke up Monday with pain and soreness which has just gotten worse to the point I'm limping around. Started icing it last night, if it doesn't improve I'll see an Orthopedist. I'd been jogging indoors every day in the warehouse at work, on concrete floors. Maybe that is catching up with me, but strange that it would flare up during a period of rest.
Some good news on my sister who'd shattered her leg, they were able to piece it back together with rods, plates and screws. The surgeon thinks they were able to tap into enough good bone to hold it together, now she has to get through recovery and eventually see how it holds up. Thanks for the good thoughts and prayers for her, we'd thought it was going to be amputated.
