One more pound off again this week. Now only 1 lb away from my aim of losing 2 stone by xmas! If I don't quite make it I won't worry, there's always 2017 and a new start. Dieting over the next 3 weeks is a bit unrealistic somehow - I am just planning on being a bit careful and not overeating!!

Well done Maria, what a lovely position to be in. Don't worry, as you say there is always January to be good!

Great drop! I agree, stick with the realistic rather than trying to lose when people are pushing mince pies at you all the time. There's 2017 after all!

Well done, Maria, and very inspiring! I am trying to keep to my diet, but still managed to eat some mini sausage rolls and a mince pie at a do yesterday, couldn't eat any more then. I think my tummy has shrunk 😀 I also think you will reach your goal before Christmas 😀

I think you will do this by Xmas. But let's face it you deserve a nice mince pie and a cuppa x

Next week is a really tough one - foodwise! Yoga xmas buffet, meal out with sis-in-law, daughter coming to stay, and a trial run for xmas day (daughter not around on the actual day!)
If I manage to stay the same at the end of next week that will be some achievement!! :)

or if not a mince pie, then at least some mincemeat on warm toast, or mincemeat porridge, a few sweetened cranberries in your salad, and a partridge in a pear tree (not to eat the partridge of course, at least not whilst it is still in the tree - though I think anyone would agree that is as near impossible as almost doesn't need mentioning) Anyway, what could feel more Christmassy than having just one more pound to go AND feeling certain that you can tackle it whenever you feel like it. As they say, it is not a matter of what, only a matter of when. (You're gone, pound, its over matey!) lol :)

Nice loss Maria.
Bloody hell ARB! I bet you could talk the hind legs off a donkey!

lol Bowd, but luckily I don't live near any donkeys, so we won't know for sure :0

Phew, that's lucky for the donkeys then!

No donkeys near here any more, the local council banned them this summer on the seafront - bah humbug!! Wouldn't fancy eating one though, nor a complete pear tree either, had partridge in the past and neither of us liked it - methinks it might end up being pheasant for a change, or who knows possibly turkey........

It's also a good job there are no donkeys near you Maria, you can talk nearly as much as ARB!

A complete pear tree!!! You're right I got so carried away with thinking about how difficult the partridge would be I completely forgot you'd have to be incredibly hungry to want to eat the whole tree (assuming you even had a good recipe for tree or a large enough kitchen) - I think it might have to be a candy partridge in a chocolate pear-drop tree.
