Exercise and calorie expenditure constant through both WOEs August 12, 2019 - Feb 29, 2020
WOE 1. August through Dec, 2019 (restricting carbs) ** eating meat, dairy, cheese, avocado, eggs ** No bread, pasta, rice, sugar, grains, nut butters, honey OUTCOME, lost 20 lbs.
WOE 2. January - Feb, 2020, (reversed WOE, favored carbs) ** eating bread, pasta, rice, nut butter, honey, sugar (donuts) ** Restricting meat, dairy, cheese, avocado, eggs OUTCOME, gained 8 lbs.
Analysis. No. more carbs do not equal weight gain Yes. more calories equal weight gain
During the (2) months I was eating bread, pasta, rice, sugar, donuts, peanut butter + honey I showed a tendency to eat on the average 600 more calories per day than the (4) months with lower carbs.
Conclusion. Carbs (especially sugar) trigger more eating for me, they are not as satiating as more dense calories in meats, dairy, eggs, avocado.
