Imagine our surprise when Hubby went out to bring in the bird feeder after dinner & the pole was turned around caterwonky & the solar light on the post was tilted 😲 Obviously we'd had a visit from the bear while we were eating dinner or doing the dishes. We were right there in the kitchen & never noticed! I know the pole was OK a little earlier cause I noticed birds still feeding at dusk.
The deer paid us a visit, too...early morning I think. Hubby saw bunch of them this morning in one side of the yard, then 2 more on the other side when he came back from walking the dogs. The flowering plants were unscathed but I do have several partial hostas now. I KNEW I should spray yesterday but got lazy. Everything will get a spray today. The doe & her 2 fawns were hanging around yesterday evening at the edge of the gardens.
GOALS for the week: 1. Walk every day 2. Do yoga/ toning exercises every day 3. Try to keep daily calories between 1600-1700 4. Choose lower calorie desserts 5. Limit adult beverages to no more than 2 a day 6. Drink LOTS of water

I "tidied" up the hostas the deer had nibbled on & puttered in the gardens. After that I needed a rest so decided to have something to eat while reading our latest Book Club selection. It's a mystery & is pretty fast paced. I couldn't put it down. Next thing I knew the sun had over onto the deck & it was quite warm. I still needed to exercise so I grabbed the portable fan, refilled my water bottle & moved onto a shadier area of the deck. Exercises done...I have about half an hour before time to walk. Think I'll grab my book again 📚👓👣
