catfrostwood's Journal, 22 December 2020

In 2007 I fell sick and was told I just had inflammation in my stomach and intestines, testing negative for celiac. They labeled me IBS-D and I have pretty much suffered everyday since then. I had 2 children and for years knew my gallbladder was going as I was steadily gaining weight despite hardly eating anything. I topped out at 325lbs and in 2017 finally had it removed when it almost burst (it was full of stones and I had cysts all over the bile ducts) Before that I was also diagnosed with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension and also having horrendous periods. Let me tell you, being a woman and fat and trying to get a doctor to listen to you is the worst experience. I went through 6 Obgyns before I found a doctor who really listened to me but my insurance said I had to try anything before they could do an exploratory surgery to find out what was wrong. A month after my gallbladder surgery I had to opt for the IUD but I could tell something was wrong. About 3 weeks later I was bleeding heavily and the IUD expelled itself and I nearly bled to death, lost half my blood volume and had to have an emergency hysterectomy. They found that one of fallopian tubes had fused to my ovary and after pathology that I had actually had cervical cancer. I lost my father to lung cancer around this time and my mother had been gone since I was 18. It was a very rough year and depression is a bitch. I had been feeling better but then my head problems got worse but I couldn't get the neuro to help me as I was just labeled fat and told to lose weight. And then my heart started causing me trouble, high blood pressure, constant heart palpitations. Had that checked out but apparently everything was fine, no blockages, strong beats. just PVCs. Those went away for awhile but now they've come back. Once the Palpitations start they will be constant for hours and sometimes an entire day and yet still nothing wrong with my heart. So all this to say I'm here to keep track as I've exhausted all over options. This time I'm cutting out gluten to see if that is the problem as my palpitations seem triggered by wheat. Even just one day in and I've already lost a pound, so maybe I'm heading in the right direction this time. :)
