I’m back, again. I just sold my dream house and bought a little tiny place. Husband and I are off on a new adventure for sure. Have to pack and prep the houses, so I’ll be busy. Closing at the end of July. Buckle up Sarah, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Hi, Sarah1950! When I checked your profile, I see that I'd already been following you. Boy, are we two cut from the same cloth. Same age, same starting place as far as needing to lose 100+ pounds, diabetic (with similar A1c numbers, even!), bad knee. I don't know if you're logging all your food, but your calorie totals in your food diary look way too low if you are. If you're doing "low-carb," you could afford to add a few hundred calories' worth of fatty meats and fish (bacon, ground beef, steak, salmon, tuna, scallops) and eggs to your diet. As an obese diabetic, you're very insulin resistant. So, you've just got to drop the juice. Even if it is "diet," anything with a sweet taste will trigger insulin release ("cephalic response"), which encourages your body to store fat. You're going to be busy, what with moving, so keeping food very simple will make it easier to stick to a healthy way of eating. Good luck and best wishes!

[Well, maybe you were 65 in 2016 when you joined. I'm 65 now.]

I've done the FS rebound thing several times myself. I see from your weight history that you'd lost quite a bit of weight in the past. I know it's discouraging to have to do this AGAIN. However, you seem to know what works for you. Getting it to work on a sustained basis is key.

Good luck on purchase of new home. Don't let it stress you; your health and reach your weight loss goal are more important.

Thanks for your well wishes and support.
I had some trouble getting back into the site. I thought this journal was lost in cyberspace.
Only seeing the comments today, a week later.
Feeling 🥳

Congrats on the smaller home - we will be going that same way next year or so!
