Windy Day's Journal, 06 July 2024

Gmornin FS peeps. This unsufferable heat has made me lazy past few days. Absolutely have to get moving today. I always feel like such a blob when Im not keeping active. Making a grocery list and shopping for that haircolor today. Soon as the moon phase is right (waxing right before full moon) I need to trim this mop again. Anyone who wants to grow their hair fast always get your cuts/trims by the moon. Years ago my hairdresser told me that little bit of wisdom and believe me, it works. Ive adhered to that ever since and my hair grows astronomically fast, as it does for all the women Ive told who also find the same. On the other hand, for a cut to last longer, cut on a waning moon! Not crazy! Ok, rambling so off I go. Have a perfectly lovely day people. xo

I like to check the Farmer's Almanac for things like that. Today I am supposed to start new projects so I am doing that. Doing some more decluttering which I abandon and come back to when I can.

Oh Morticia you sound like me! That's my style as well! 😄 Love the fathers almanac. Did you know local persimmons can predict what the winter will hold? Slice one open and if you see a soon shape, lots of snow. A knife shape will be a cold one with cutting winds. It's been accurate! Hope you're having a wonderful Saturday GF. ❤️

Def going to try this for my next cut. My hair grows crazy fast

It should help, Val. You can google the best phase to slow growth. To encourage growth I always cut on days between 92-97or98%. Imagine wane phase right before it's lowest point.

Yep..You got me curious, so I Googled "moon diet." Guess what? It exists and is similar to a fasting diet. LOL

I'm using the moon phases when gardening and trimming hair. I'm always heavier around the full moon (water weight). I do not fly around 😭 on my broomstick 🧹 then. ;) I have no idea why followers of Hecate are depicted on a broom during the full moon!? 🌕

This thread is teaching me so much - best time to cut (or shave lol) one’s hair - moon diet - who was Hecate - to actually read the Farmers Almanac I keep buying but never read

Ah! The moon's gravitational force works wonders in so many ways! That's great you use it in your gardening as well as hair, Margatyna!

Val, I really might try the moon diet. Basically just a 24 hr liquid fast at full and new moons. I think I could do that once a month. Very interesting, as the body is 70% water, and the moon's gravitational force pulls tides, so why not use it to advantage in our own bodies? We'll see if it works inside as well as out. Awesome!

I didn’t read up on the diet but if it only involves fasting 1-2 days a month I’m willing to give it a go also 😊

Val, let's try it. What have we got to lose, haha! :)

It is indeed hot as h—- here in nj but the water temp down the shore is in the 50’s so if you sit close enough it like mother nature’s air conditioner
