Yep! If the Grand kids fix the meal, that gives you permission to go off plan every time! Enjoy those young ones! Count your Blessings!

sooo..I see people with great results but am really really freaked out by the negative reports such as constipation, flu like symptoms, bad breath...and what about long term?? how are you feeling and how long have you been doing keto??

Eat a varied died that includes vegetables. If you eat nothing but meat and cheese you'll have a hard time for sure. I also recommend switching to Lite salt (half sodium half potassium) to help increase your potassium intake. Long term outlook is great. Watch the documentary The Magic Pill, it's very informative!

Sharihoran77 I've been doing keto and it's worth it.. But you have to eat a lot of vegetables with a lot of fiber plus I recommend taking benefiber.. And after losing 70 pounds..I decided not to do any saturated fats only healthy fats.

Sharihoran, lots of different WOE (ways of eating) on this site. Each of us has to find what works for us. I don't do keto, but I know it is much more than just meat and cheese, and many people find it works very well for them.

My family is the same to a point :) They do try to have a crudite tray sometimes but with that there is the dip. Love my family and it is all worth it!

Kattay, here in the southern area where i live, mac and cheese is considered a vegetable LOL we had potatoes three ways, corn, and mac and cheese and some squash but it was made with stuffing in it. I sure enjoyed the babies though! 😁

I try to live a keto lifestyle, because it has helped me recover from chemotherapy, the steroids ruined my body and the meds have caused quite a bit of nerve damage. I do eat a good deal of seeds, veggies and berries that are compatible with my way of eating. I do rely on healthy fats for sure! I am down 24 pounds since first of august when I was allowed by my dr to begin this lifestyle. Liv is right, weight loss is a good side affect.
As far as keto breath, constipation and other worries people have about ketogenics, I cope very well, and haven’t had any complaints from my hubby LOL
BUT keto isn’t for everyone, find what works for one’s self and go with that.
I am here to support any way of eating my FS friends choose, because we all share the ultimate goal of a healthy lifestyle.
I have made some dear friends here, as I haven’t any friends since I left my work and moved miles away to a new city. My family is all I have. So I treasure my FS friends and appreciate their support! ❤️

BCJames I really like the himalayan pink salt, it seems to keep my electrolytes in check 😁
