This year, I am really trying to focus on healthy holiday eating. That is, being able to enjoy holiday treats without guilt and shame, and adjusting my activity level and other food intake to compensate. In the past, I used to just eat treats and then feel guilty or avoid them and feel deprived. This year, I want to eat that piece of pumpkin bread and compensate by cutting out carbs at lunch and going for a walk. At least, that's the goal. Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, it's a trial by fire!
