LOL!! Yes, a rather dramatic way to bring the scale back down too ... don't you think? I think I have definitely caught up on my sleep ... am hopeful I will be able to rejoin the living tomorrow ... we'll see. I'm not hurrying anything at this point.

I was just going to post you Info and let you know I recorded my dramatic 'high' ... you are right ... in retrospect it is helpful to see that I can bounce up and down ... and that a gain doesn't mean I am headed back to obesity .... I can be so dramatic at times!!

Yes, and for some reason it's good to see it on one's chart. I'm not sure why but, maybe it's because it shows that one is able to exercise restraint and self control (visual representation of data ;-) ). I'm sorry to hear that you have been a bit ill. Last week, I had a minor but persistent flu that was bothering me too. You probably already know this but, if your headache doesn't go away with say aspirin, it's ok to add ibproben, and even acetaminophen simultaneously, as long as one follows the prescribed amounts for each. Confirm that though (I know it sounds a bit crazy and it probably is), and of course I wouldn't want to do it often. Anyway I didn't find that out until late in life; once I took aspirin, I would wait until the four hours were over before contemplating something else. You probably have vicadin and stronger drugs in your medicine cabinet which you can use but those I would be more careful with. As you can probably dicern, I am no headache expert (lol). Anyway, you should be happy that you were able to avoid getting that root canal but instead, you say that you were really looking forward to it. LOL! Don't worry you will get your chance moose! ;-) Hang in there buddy.

I hope you feel better soon! It is nice to have a pup who's willing to curl up and keep you company when you aren't feeling too hot.

Ooh, migraine - I hate them. I sometimes take ibuprufen if I think I'm getting a headache, head them off at the pass, is my motto!

Wow! What a big drop....almost 8 lbs.! Kudos to you! Hope you're feeling better soon so that you can get to that root canal! ;)

I'm so sorry you're not feeling well. Isn't it amazing that our canine friends know when we need a head to stroke and a warm body to cuddle and just curl up and keep us company. I find that stress makes me more likely to pick up bugs or feel unwell. Enjoy the kudos of the big drop and I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone!! I do feel much better today. I don't think it was a migraine ... more like a virus. I've never had a migraine last 48 hours ... and this one started with stomach pains Monday afternoon and was accompanied by severe nausea!! Sarah ... I'm pretty sure Info and I are related ... we seem to be very skilled at both gaining and losing FAST!!! LOL!!! We are each unique I say ... in the way our bodies handle fluctuations. I need to remember that though because every time I have one of those high flucts up I begin to panic ... thinking I am going to weigh 256 lbs in nothing flat!! Don't know how long it will take me to adjust to this new way of life but I know I have lots of support in the process!! My canine buddy will have to sleep alone today ... back to work!!

That sounds exactly like my flu. Blinding headache and GI issues. Just for the record, though, my husband's sister has had a migraine--continuously--for almost 9 years. SHe sees a migraine doc who said hers is not the most severe nor the longest lasting. She has had to quit her job and go on disability. The headache goes up and down but never goes away. And I hear you on the fluct up panics. It's hard to get it into my head that I'm not going to pop back up 40 lbs just because I eat a few pieces of toast.

Unfortunately--I lost no weight during my flu! Doggies are the BEST when you're sick.
