I'm astounded by the weigh-in and wondering if it's some dehydration trick, after being in the hospital again. But my goal for May was to get into the 150s, so even if my weight bounces up a bit again next week, I have still met my goal, and I am thrilled. I am really going to work hard this week to stay on plan and hold this weight steady. Hooray for the 1-5s!

Fabulous ...reaching your goal for May. I missed your progress with the kidney stones. Have they passed? Or deteriorated?

Thanks for the encouragement, which I truly need right now. As for the kidney stone, it has left the building as it were. It was pretty weird having to put it in a zip lock and take it to the doctor to confirm that it was in fact THE kidney stone. It was, and I can go on with my life. Thanks for all the caring messages during what was an extended episode of distress.

I'll bet you did the happy dance. So happy for you Hermiones Mom. BTW, I do not know how to answer your comments on my journal. Usually when I post a journal, it never shows on the stream. I can look at my journal page and see the comments from there, but then I can't respond. You asked me if I liked herring. I've never had it. I live on the East Coast (Boston area) and eat fresh/frozen fish nearly every day.

OH my! I am SO happy for you HM! - I hope it wasn't just the hospital - I think I recall you changed your food up a little recently...good for you!
|
HCB -- the problem is, the more I change my food to conform to IBS and stay low glycemic, the higher my kidney stone risk. Can you believe it? However, it turns out that the urologist I suddenly acquired as a result of this misadventure is considered a national expert on nutrition and kidney stones, so I'm going to do a followup visit with him in a few weeks to review this problem and see if he has any suggestions.
