Long walk last night, short row #26, plans for at least 40 minutes this morning, just need to pick the mix for the stack. I can see new muscles in my shoulders and upper back. Kinda cool. Was planning on a swim but ran into some friends on the patio at one of our local dive bars and stopped to chat. I don’t really drink anymore, so declined the offer, but probably need to reengage with casual friends again while we’re all still standing.

Made it through a rather tedious workweek, I have one thing to check on this morning and then should be free of those chains for the rest of the weekend.

It’s sunny and pretty already this morning, but you can tell it’s going to get hotter. I think I can finally put away the sweatshirts and sweaters, it’s been a weird year so far but not complaining. One of the priority projects this weekend is to assess what exactly needs to happen with my lower deck. Unfortunately, I suspect it’s replacement, but fingers crossed. Always something, but it’s a huge space of my house that I love.

Blob down, muscle holding, way low on water but drank a lot so that’s temporary. For those looking at smart scales, this is one of the things you need to realize. I can manipulate the numbers by drinking water, eating a large fibrous meal or using the bathroom. That’s why I can only use it as a progress gauge, not an absolute statement of well-being.

Need to figure out how I’m going to watch the Olympics next month (swimming and H2O polo - yay!) and I guess I’m going to have to pay for some sort of streaming service to do it. Love, love, love competitive swimming. Maybe I’ll mix up a little bowl of swimming pool water and spray it into the air to make the experience complete. I do miss that aspect of sports. I have friends with a huge outdoor TV in their covered kitchen outdoor rec area. Wish I could do something like that for this, but nope. They live up in north county, so I can’t exactly invite myself over either. 🤣 We’ll focus on fixing the deck first and getting the grill in order and keep the patio doors open to recreate that experience on the cheap. Fantasy is an outdoor kitchen one day. We’ll focus on getting the grill going first. Haha.

I am going to extend my rowing challenge to 60 days and I’ve already picked out what I want as my reward unless I push it to 90 days at that point. I don’t know if it’s directly related or not, but my neck issue seems to be resolved, I have full range of motion again. Been religiously doing mobility exercises each morning while I wait for the scale to do its thing and also while I’m brushing my teeth. Don’t fall asleep on the couch, it’s not worth it.

Weekend rules, enjoy the day. Pics from yesterday’s walk. Summer is not missing, I just can’t let go of the leash with her safely, so I skipped it and didn’t realize the omission.

Nice job on the emerging muscles. I love when I see changes in my body (for the better, of course 😀). Your babies are so beautiful. Give them some loves from me. 🤗

Your pups are looking so awesome! As for the Olympics, do you not get local channels?

Diana, the signals from Mexico overwhelm my digital antenna, so it’s hard to get a clear signal. One of the downsides of living on a hill.
