plateau weight still, GRRRRR! 😢

Angie-Leigh, as a much younger woman, I tried to calorie restrict myself into weight loss, which worked well for a while. [ I’m an old girl now, can’t recall just how long but it was a month or so.] . I learnt that after a while on very low intake, your body will resist further weight loss. Survival mechanism I suppose. Still 0.3kg/ week is ok.
This time I am trying not to go too much below 1100 kcal/day. That said I am 1.69 metres tall. I have to overcome my “bull at a gate” tendency.
What do you think of the 5:2 eating pattern? What do you think of intermittent fasting? What do you think of the advice that you need 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight?
There is so much “advice” about dieting that it is hard to sort. One thing is for sure, EAT LESS, MOVE MORE is simplistic because we are not steam engines where it’s possible to accurately measure energy in and energy out. All of our weight changes, muscle building and hunger are moderated by hormones [ and sometimes by medication ).
Sorry if I have touched on stuff you already know. I really just want to wish you all the best. If your profile pic is recent you must be in one of the most challenging life phases for women. 🤗💪🏻💪🏻 👵🏼➡️👩👦
PS I love weight training❣️❣️

at tha moment im on a 1200 calorie intake daily & i try to exercise everyday or at least every second day 😏 im 173cm tall & hav plateau out at 71.5kgs 😢 & can't seem to move past/underneath it 👎 ive never tried tha 5:2 program (is that fasting for 2days while normal eating for tha other 5days?) & i was doing intermittent fasting, i was doing tha 16:8 & /or 18:6 for a few days on & off for weeks about a month back. i try to keep my protein up with protein bars ect but am new to healthy eating so am still learning. & my profile picture is about 3months old, my daughter turned 2yrs old at the beginning of tha year 💞 she is tha best girl in tha world, she completes me 💞

Go you, all this effort and a gorgeous two year old daughter. ❣️ I have not tried the 5:2 but have a friend who had a lot of success. The fasting is 500 kcal/day, not total fast. She didn’t do any processed food on her “normal” days just filled up a bit more, say 1400 to 1600 kcal. I am no expert on it but there’s heaps of info available. Thanks for reminding me about protein bars (but after 4 weeks, I am a bit nervous about tasting anything sweet ).
I think we are all learners regarding diet because the goal posts keep shifting and also because 3 generations of us have grown up with manufactured UNFOOD, which though tasty (and addictive ) is mostly about profit rather than health.😤
Anyway, at 1.73m you must look pretty striking at 71.5kg❣️

After my 1 months Plato after diet based on healthier eating and gradual cutting calories I've switched to carb-protein rotation diet, it burnt another 10kgs for me
