I am glad that Adult Protective Services comes to check on you and I hope they continue. I feel sorry for your husband with all of his medical problems and admire your resolve to keep him out of a nursing home, if possible. You have been together a long time. Hopefully he will able to control himself in the future but my chief concern is for you and your well being and I'm glad someone wants to ensure that you are safe.

Snowwhite— keep in mind that intermittent fasting is a different animal for women and especially for seniors. Not always a recommended strategy, but hopefully you have done your homework and understand that. Are those last three pounds worth obsessing over? You might consider, that within your calorie limit, whether you are getting the nutrition that your body needs to keep you healthy.

Kenna makes a good point. I'm learning with my Osteopenia and fracture last year how dieting impacts your bone health. I'm really working on improving my nutrition and consistently eat the amount of calories my body needs and not engage in binging or behaviors that lead to it. I'm determined to improve my bone density in every way possible. It's not always easy but I'm too scared of the alternative.

I'm with the others, happy to hear you are safe and being checked on! 6.5 hours of weeding is impressive! As a gardener that's the equivalent of a marathon! You are amazing! Remember to look in the mirror and tell yourself out loud! 'I'm amazing'!
