I had pizza ... But no sodium bump. Noice.

Definitely need to drink more water though. I finally found my favorite cup I love to carry around -- it was upstairs in the school room. I didn't realize it because we were out for fall break last week. 😆

I haven't been exercising these last couple of weeks, but I started back this week. I don't do the hard workouts anymore. The motivation/desire just isn't there anymore. If I keep doing these lighter exercises, I know I'll keep doing them every day.

Intermittent Fasting has been going well! I've been consistent. I'm tracking calories, trying to keep my total at 1811, no more, no less, as much as possible. It's a simple plan that I can stick to, and that's the most important thing for me right now.

I waited until noon to drink my coffee yesterday. Even though it was only one scoop of caffeinated grounds and three scoops of decaf, my heart was beating out of my chest. Part of that was nerves - I had to read in front of a large group of people - but even when I wasn't reading, my heart was pounding. I'm considering going entirely caffeine free. I hate that out-of-control racing heart feeling.

Sorry to hear the side effect of coffee. Are there alternative drinks like a tea or juice which are safe for you?

@Anne interestingly, tea doesn't have that same effect. Even black tea! Not that I've noticed. I don't know why I fight kicking coffee so much. I just really love it. And the mental boost is nice. What do you like to drink?

I sometimes have decaf coffee, but lately I have been just drinking hot water with a squirt of lemon in it. I realized that I am just looking for the warm temp in the drink, especially in the morning.

@Little Red Fox that's interesting! I wonder if that's what I'm craving more than the coffee itself. I certainly don't love fighting the teeth stains 🤣

It is very interesting because you don't have any palpitation from drinking black tea. I learned it also has high caffeine. I used to drink coffee from Starbucks, McDonald, Dunkin Donuts, or any Delis, but when I first tasted PEET'S coffee, I immediately fell in love with it. It was "Major Dickason's Blend." After that, I order it regularly online. When I brew coffee, I use two scoops with 12 oz. of water. The taste is good enough for me, and I enjoy it with my homemade cupcake. If coffee continuously burdens your heart, but you still cannot say "Goodbye" to coffee, why don't you decrease the volume of coffee and see outcomes? Otherwise, like you said that no coffee anymore. Wish you all the best! 💖

I had to switch to decaf coffee as it was causing heart palpitations. ( I had been drinking reg coffee for 25 years, and then one day my heart said enough. I have no other heart issues or any health issues,. Had a stress test at the time to rule out other causes) I love my coffee, didn’t want to give it up. I still drink tea occasionally, 8 oz cup of black tea has 47 mg caffeine vs 95 mg in a 8oz coffee, so about 1/2 as much, according to the info I read. Even so, I keep it to one cup of black tea when I drink it. I also found a few herbal caffeine free teas I enjoy. Decaf coffee is my go to hot beverage.

One of my friends uses Dandy Blend which is a chicory drink. It's bitter and coffee-like without the caffeine. Good luck!
