Well, I'm back home. We left three weeks ago for Michigan with the intention of bringing my Mother back to North Carolina to live with us and to get her better medical treatment for her cancer. Her care had been, in my opinion, lackadaisical at best and criminally negligent at worst. While we were en route to her, she worsened and was transported to the hospital. She remained there for nearly a week before passing. The next two weeks were spent preparing for and having the funeral and then visiting with family and some formalities regarding the estate. There was three weeks of eating restaurant food and celebrating her life with my family. I'm a little surprised that with the amount of carbs and alcohol that I've consumed, coupled with little exercise, that I've only gained a bit less than 7 pounds. Anyway, I'm home now and back to following my current eating plan. Hopefully, I'll be back under 190 in a few weeks (3 weeks to put it on and 3 weeks to take it off).
