Hi Becky! how is your movement going?

Hi Eva. Thank you for asking. 💕 It's not. I haven't been active at all, except for everyday chores, which isn't much. I was just talking to a store owner in town about how it's such a mind game to get my body moving when I am hurting. I know I have to turn it around and just do it!

Oh, Becky, I am sorry that you are hurting. But I know from people with fibro in my life, that movement is their cure. In particular, moving inside water: water gym and walking barefoot on the beach are top. But yoga and stretching work too. Please, let me suggest that you explore Upright Health’s resources on fibro and chronic pain. You can do it, girl!

The more I hurt, the more I take it as a reminder to MOVE! I used to move less with every painful move until I realized that movement relieved some of the pain. Now if I am in pain I move. If you're sitting, stand. If you are standing step. If you're stepping in place walk. Try not to stay seated or lying down for more than an hour during the day.
I know this is not the answer for everyone but it has worked for me. Less pain and more calories burned.
Prayers for more pain free hours and days.

I do understand the fibro pain! I've been fighting the battle for 20+ years. Some days are just gonna suck! But thankfully movement really does help.

Thank you Eva! Yoga and stretching should be the very least I do. I very much enjoy hiking, but it's monsoon season right now where we live, but I really can't use that excuse, because there's a few indoor options available. 🧘♀️🏋♀️💃 One of these years, we plan to put in an endless pool, something like what Katsolo has. I hope you are having good days and I will definitely look up that site and information. 💕

Thank you SLY. You are so right about doing something just one level up until you're in full movement mode. Same here with the years I've been dealing with FM. It does seem that this year the fatigue and pain has it me hard. My mother had arthritis and was bedridden for many years before she passed away and I use her situation as motivation to keep moving. I have to focus on finding solutions for how to keep moving forward. Ultimately, I want to flip my active days and rest days, from what they are now. 👍

becca, I wonder if a doc script would let you write it off? seriously the best thing I ever bought for myself. swam under the stars last night, I can only imagine doing that where you live.

Kat, that's a great suggestion. Thank you! I'll look into it. I have included a dedicated area for an endless pool in the plans for the backyard/entertaining area of our property. Both Joe and I would benefit from it. 🏊♀️🏊♂️
