Despite all my nervous grazing last night, my weight dropped a little. Completely unexpected. I did drink a lot of water though.

Hi Coco, Ive been carrying around a one gallon jug of water and drinking from it and it really seems to be helping me get to the lower number of my flucking fluctuation. I hope your weather has calmed down some. TOWANDA!!!!

I just had to google this, but a gallon of water is 16 8-ounce glasses. That's a lot! But you're probably not drinking a whole gallon a day.

I drink about 72-96 ounces a day. lol I have a 24 ounce stainless water bottle, and I fill it at least 3 or 4 times a day.

For what it's worth Coco... I don't subscribe to drinking a lot of liquids like some. It just didn't do much for me except make me go...
I think it's fine if you want that... but not really necessary for weight loss. It will wash out the sodium... but if you eat anything salty... it's right back anyway. So drink till your content... and if your not thirsty... it's up to you if you think you need more!

Initially I did "train" myself to drink more water because regardless of what the correct amount is for my size, my hypothesis was that zero ounces a day wasn't enough. Once I got up close to a gallon I couldn't stay out of the bathroom so I backed down a bit & found that 80-100 oz is the most I can really tolerate. Nowadays I don't track my intake though I find I need to have a bottle of water close by at all times. It's hard to explain the way I feel when I've been drinking enough water, but I feel lighter & flushed out I guess. Better in general. So lately I go by how I feel to decide if it's enough.

I am glad you are safe from those storms! I think I drink a lot of water, but honestly I am not sure exactly how much - I suspect very close to a whole gallon though!

I have always been a big drinker...always have a bottle of water with me, so the amount isn't anything new. I just never thought about how much I drank.

A word of caution though...I was speaking with a client who recently had a close friend go into a coma. She is a very healthy woman, eats healthy, worksout, etc etc and only drank water...not even a zero calorie vitamin water...the sodium levels in her body got too low and it actually caused her to slip into a coma.

Balance is key. You do need fluids (well I do, certainly), but overdoing anything is never a good idea.
