Saturday started out with rain & thunderstorms. I decided it was a good day to switch out my Summer/ Winter clothes from the cedar chest to the closet. It wasn't bad cause I had tried on & discarded things that didn't fit last Fall. I only tried on a couple of pieces to check the fit. I finally decided it was time to let a pair of black gauzy capris go....they are literally hanging off my hips. I have kept a couple of bottoms that are loose, but I can make them work with a belt.

The sun came out in the afternoon, so I moved outside to the gardens. I planted the purple basil plant I had exchanged cause the first one died. Hopefully this one is happy in the planter next to her sister "Sweet Basil" 😊 Then I tackled weeds. Lots of rain makes them happy....me, not so much. They do pull out easier after the rain.

Yesterday, I went to my Sister's for a pool day rescheduled from Saturday. We had lunch on the patio at a neighborhood Mexican resteraunt. We both had Chicken Taco Salads. I nibbled on the outer shell but left most of it. Old fatter me would have eaten it all, but the slimmer me decided I didn't need it. Back at her house, we lazed away the afternoon floating in the pool & talking. She is an avid gardener & the property is beautiful. Her daughter & family live upstairs & she has a lovely daylight basement " apartment". We were surrounded by all the blooming flowers & trees. They live in a subdivision, but it looks like they're secluded with all the landscaping. A perfect Mental Health recharging day!

Today, I woke to rain...again. It's tempting to stay home & skip the Gym, but I think saving the sunny day tomorrow for garden projects would be better. It is supposed to clear up this afternoon. So....better get moving & make some breakfast.

Hey that's a win! I love the pool but now I have to be careful and it makes me feel a bit frustrated 😔. I have too be super careful of the sun 🌞 because of my pale skin and all my medications make me have sensitivity to the sun plus I higher chance of skin cancer. But I love to swim especially with the kiddos; really I'm just a big kid so it lets me play and not feel like a goofball for playing just like the kids 😁. Last year I did notice a small problem I'm not good at judging my stamina abilities and how using my energy will effect my health 😑... I will over do it and be super fatigued for two days after. I will have to find more of a balance ⚖️ this year.
