Good morning FS Friends

Goal 12 unmet. Bah. Expected it though.

My darling neighbour Miss Dolly age 96, who lives independently and is sharp as a tack mentally, came to my door on Saturday afternoon bearing a plate of freshly made scones and a jar of homemade Strawberry honey and chia seed preserves. Yup. Ate them all. They were sooo good. Fresh out of the oven, slathered with butter and strawberry jam. Truly yummy. Unfortunatly for me it was a trigger to binge eat yesterday. Stopped logging intake as I was in garburator mode. Popcorn and more cheese than any one person should consume. What is it with my fixation with cheese lately? Can't say that I was hungry, just trying to fill the massive void that logically only time and healing will fill. Food doesn't do it is the lesson (again) Reverting to old behaviours using simple carbs, fat and sugar will have me right back to where I started. Well, that was yesterday and in the rearview now. Whole new day to eat right and on plan.

It was a lovely thing for her to do and I sure enjoyed the scones and even more that she had made the effort for me. Lovely lady. She has seen so much loss in her life, son, husband, siblings. I am blessed to have Miss Dolly in my life.

Another day begins

Nice of her to be doing at her age. I'll probably be pushing daisies at that age LOL

Miss Dolly sounds like quite a remarkable woman and, oooh, the stories she could tell!! Ann, I could never fault you at all, as I too, would have eaten every single one of those scones! LoL Don't be too hard on yourself about the binge...it's been awhile since you have had that need - as do we all!! At least we have our gardens/yard to provide us with a free, labour intensive work-out to counteract excess calories!

It would have been rude to refuse her kind offerings. So sorry it triggered a day long binge. Be kind to yourself and start over tomorrow.

Haha I wouldn’t be able to resist either, and it would definitely send me down a binge too. Don’t let it discourage you, you deserved that good ol binge 😂 keep up the good work, drink lots of water!!
