Looks like the salad for lunch and salad for dinner idea is working. :) About time I start seeing some weight loss. I came up with the idea, because I was looking into OTC weight loss aids. Found a guy reviewing some on YouTube, which gave me the idea of something more natural like salads. The guy bought a weight loss supplement and it didn't work at all for him. Then the same guy bought a different weight loss aid and said it was more like taking a laxative. That is what reminded me of the salad I used to eat for super, when I needed to take off a few pound when I was younger. Decided to go back to eating my Waldorf salad with romaine lettuce for super. It keeps the pipes clean; even though, I have never had a problem with going to the bathroom. The salad for lunch, is more of a creative venture so it varies by what I put in it. Still have an egg and toast for breakfast and sometimes add popcorn to my lunch. I'm very happy, just hope the pounds keep melting off. I guess what I really want to say is to never give up. Just keep trying different meal plans and see what works for you.

Glad you've found something that works! I've heard it said that there's no perfect diet, but there is a perfect diet for you. You're wise to be cautious about OTC supplements. In the U.S., dietary supplements are the Wild West of regulations -- completely inadequate. Independent tests have shown ridiculous variations in what you're getting

I'm a salad fan with lean meat. My go to meal.

I'm finding if I throw an interesting salad on to the plate and then my dinner portion to the side, I can fill up happily on the salad and not have the room for the dinner. Even though the portion is less. Really its all about taking up space with healthier options and not over doing it on the dinner side. So, I try to fully chew every single mouthful, and pause before each refill, being slow means you eat less when you recognise that you are full. And mostly, I try to leave the table, just not feeling full but still just a little hungry that actually translates to positive results over time.
