I really messed up! I will do my best to put this behind me. I know it's stress. SO, I don't hit someone, scream at everyone, verbally abuse people,stay inside and hide, or whatever else there is to do when things get to be too much. I EAT
145.0 lb Lost so far: 2.0 lb.    Still to go: 10.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 2.5 lb a week

I too am an emotional eater. But now, when I get stressed, I walk and drink lots of water. Good luck, I'm glad you are not beating yourself up over this.

I get frustrated too - I dont want to take it out on my cat or my 5 year old so I Was (still am) in the habit of eating to squelch frustration. The best trick I know is to go right back to the plan the next meal... just hang in there.

The nice thing is you don't let it get out of control with weight gain. Don't beat yourself up. Try some meditation right before you reach for food. It may help control the emotion and reduce your stress. The best part is you can do this one minute meditation anywhere. I like to do it where I look at myself in the mirror eye to eye.. feels kind of creepy to stare yourself down but it helps to see yourself and tell yourself these things causing me stress are things that will pass. THIS TOO SHALL PASS! everything does.
